Ritual Sense Education
On the morning of 31st May, so as to greet the arrival of the International Children’s Day, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Section convened the 2018 welcome ceremony for the new young pioneers, national flag shift ceremony as well as the academic year commendation ceremony.
First of all, under the gaze of all the teachers and students, 143 first-year students were awarded bright red scarves by their elder brothers and sisters from Grade 6. Then, under the guidance of Team Counselor Mr. Rao Dan, the 143 students from Grade 1 took a solemn oath before the team flag. Afterwards, student Zhao Yannan made a speech on behalf of the new young pioneers, in which Zhao Yannan expressed students’ thanks to the teachers’ concern and care. In the meantime, students were determined to set strict demands on themselves to pay back the teachers and parents with excellent marks who cared for their development.
Second of all, the national flag group from the 6th grade walked past the rostrum in neat steps for the last time. The group members solemnly handed over the national flag to the newly selected national flag group, comprising 23 students from Grade 5, which was a hand-over of a glorious mission as well as a set-out of a special glory.
Third of all, the Primary Division held the school year commendation ceremony and issued certificates of merit to students who won the honorary titles of ‘Virtue Teenager’, ‘Top Ten Virtue Teenagers’, ‘Merit Student’ in addition to ‘Outstanding Student Leaders’ in the 2017-2018 academic year.
In conclusion, for one thing, the ritual sense education enabled students to further realize the significance of joining the Young Pioneers Group and the National Flag Group as well as let them feel the glory and responsibility. For another, the ritual sense education made students understand the model function, cherish this honor, strive and surpass themselves constantly in their future study and life.
